If there's anything you should know about me (outside of research), it's that I love traveling, World Expos, and coffee (and food).
For years, my friends and family have told me to start a blog of my travels and food experiences. I plan to launch my personal blog (Drips of Memories) in Summer 2019! I'm excited to share my journey across the world through food, coffee, and World Expos!
Traveling
I love to travel. Over the last few years, I've been blessed to travel and visit many countries. At Notre Dame, I spent a semester studying abroad in London, UK, which gave me the opportunity to visit various countries in Europe including Turkey, Italy, France, and Ireland, among others. I also travel frequently to visit family in Shanghai, China and to attend World Expos (see below). My most recent travel accomplishment was visiting Cinque Terre this summer and hiking through all five towns. (41,084 Fitbit steps. 17.38 miles. 6+ hrs of hiking. 375 floors. ~90°F. 6 liters of water. 2 gelatos.)

World Expos (World's Fair)
Many people have heard of the Chicago or New York World's Fair, but not many know that World Expos still exist. These amazing events brought us the ice cream cone, hot dogs, the Eiffel Tower, the Space Needle, etc. and still happen every few years.
I first discovered World Expos in the late 2000s and have now made it my mission to attend each future one, as well as sites of past Expos. I attended the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and 2012 Yesou Expo for research, and most recently attended the Expo Milano 2015. In Feb 2017, I was finally able to visit the first official World Expo Museum, located in the old Shanghai Expo park. I'm hoping to find my way to the next Expo - 2020 Dubai!

Coffee (and food)
I may not drink a pot a day, but I do love coffee. It's the first thing I look for when I visit a new city and I am slowly collecting ideas for my own cafe (in the far future). I continue to grow my coffee-making collection and love exploring new coffee methods.

Books I'm "Reading"
I've recently taken up listening to audiobooks whenever I can - while walking around town, grocery shopping, working out, walking to work, etc. I currently use the app Libby, where I can borrow books from various libraries. I'm creating a list here to provide others with suggestions and to remind me of what I've read!
Currently "Reading": The Confidence Code by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman
